How does Digest Support work?<\/h2>\n

The abdomen and brain are inextricably linked via the vagus nerve and the enteric nervous system. Stress and anxiety activate the sympathetic nervous system, causing bowel movement to slow down, sphincter tension to increase, and the abdominal area to cramp. Conversely, a tense abdomen also sends signals back to the brain that enhance the stress response. <\/p>\n

Digest Support works via topical application to the abdominal area. Through the combination of smell (direct limbic activation), touch and the action of the oils on smooth muscle tissue, the roller supports a parasympathetic response. Peppermint and ginger locally activate warm receptors (TRPM8 and TRPV1) that relax smooth muscle tissue. Frankincense modulates the autonomic nervous system via the limbic system. <\/p>\n
