How does Anxiety Support work?<\/h2>\n

Anxiety and stress activate the sympathetic nervous system. The HPA axis (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal) reacts with a cortisol peak, the heart rate increases, muscles tense. This is useful in real dangers. In the case of chronic or recurring triggers such as fireworks or separation anxiety, the activation is disproportionate and the animal benefits from gentle, sensory support that encourages the parasympathetic system. <\/p>\n

Smell is the most direct sense for emotional regulation. Scent stimuli reach the amygdala and the limbic system directly via the olfactory nerve, the brain areas that control fear and emotional memory formation.
