Regular oncology treats the tumor. We support the body that has to live with it. <\/h2>\n

Surgery, chemotherapy and radiation are often necessary and life-prolonging for cancer. They are rightly at the heart of oncological care. But cancer is not an isolated organ problem. It is the visible endpoint of a biological process that has built up over years in the immune system, the microbiome, the mitochondria and the inflammatory balance. <\/p>\n

Nutrition for cancer: what we recommend<\/h2>\n

Tumor cells live on glucose via the Warburg effect: they prefer to ferment glucose, also in the presence of oxygen. Ultra-processed dry food with a high glycemic load feeds this mechanism directly. At the same time, ultra-processed nutrition enhances dysbiosis and increases the systemic LPS burden that maintains the pro-inflammatory tumor microenvironment. <\/p>\n

Our nutritional advice for oncology patients<\/p>\n

No dry food as a main feed.<\/strong> High glycemic load, ultra-processed ingredients and limited fiber content enhance the biological environment that facilitates tumor progression.<\/div>\n
High-quality fresh protein sources as a basis.<\/strong> Muscle preservation is a primary priority in oncology patients. Cancer cachexia via the Warburg effect breaks down muscle proteins for gluconeogenesis. Adequate protein intake is the most direct nutritional intervention to slow down muscle breakdown. <\/div>\n
Low glycemic load.<\/strong> Fresh meat nutrition with ground vegetables and minimal starch sources reduces glucose availability for Warburg metabolism. This is not a starvation diet but a selective nutrition strategy. <\/div>\n
Fermentable fibers for microbiome repair.<\/strong> Vegetables provide the fiber for SCFA production that has anticarcinogenic properties and restores the intestinal barrier that is compromised with chemo treatment.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Our advice: phased support during the treatment process<\/h2>\n

The phasing follows the treatment process. In early and active treatment phases, the emphasis is on gut repair, immune support, and side effect mitigation. After the intensive treatment, the focus shifts to mitochondrial repair and long-term immune resilience. <\/p>\n

In oncological patients, the intestinal barrier is often already affected by the tumor, stress or chemotherapy. A disrupted gut barrier increases the systemic LPS burden that maintains the pro-inflammatory tumor microenvironment. Immune modulation belongs in phase 1 because NK cell activity and macrophage balance are disrupted early on in oncological patients. Waiting until later lacks the therapeutic logic.
