The combination of N-acetylcysteine (NAC), lactoferrin and specific digestive enzymes has been developed to address biofilm formation in the gut and make the gut environment more accessible again. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"506\" data-end=\"827\">Biofilms are protective structures in which microorganisms such as bacteria, yeasts or parasites can hide. Within this matrix, they are difficult to reach for the immune system and less sensitive to regular interventions. In addition, it has a direct disruptive effect on existing biofilms and supports the natural defense and intestinal barrier. Lactoferrin makes biofilms unstable and inhibits the regrowth of pathogenic microorganisms, making it an important supplement in addition to NAC in breaking biofilms.  <\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1621\" data-end=\"1856\"><strong data-start=\"1621\" data-end=\"1652\">Amylase, protease and lipase<\/strong><br data-start=\"1652\" data-end=\"1655\">These enzymes help break down carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, respectively, within the biofilm structure. This allows the matrix to be further broken open and made more accessible. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1858\" data-end=\"2188\"><strong data-start=\"1858\" data-end=\"1905\">When is Biofilm Balance often used?<\/strong><br data-start=\"1905\" data-end=\"1908\">Biofilm Balance is often used in animals with signs of intestinal imbalance, such as fluctuating stools, skin problems, itching, ear problems or chronic complaints in which the microbiome plays a role.
