What is colloidal gold?<\/h2>\n

Colloidal gold consists of elemental gold nanoparticles suspended in purified water. Unlike gold salts (such as aurothiomalate, which is used in rheumatoid arthritis), colloidal gold does not contain ionic gold and therefore has a fundamentally different safety profile. The ruby red colour is characteristic of pure colloidal gold particles and is created by the interaction of light with the nanostructure of the particles (the Tyndall effect). <\/p>\n
