Description

NGD Care – Water kefir is a freeze-dried fermented water kefir. This formula contains more than 50 different strains of natural bacteria and yeasts, including various species of Lactobacillus, Saccharomyces, Candida, Kluyveromyces and Acetobacter. This makes it a broad-acting probiotic complex intended to support the diversity and resilience of the gut microbiome.

The product can help with recovery after antibiotics, support bowel movements and reduce functional intestinal complaints. The production of SCFAs, lactate and other metabolites favorably affects the pH and environment in the intestine. In addition, the gut microbiome plays a role in the gut-brain axis and gut-immune axis, which means that kefir can also indirectly influence mood, stress resistance and general resistance.

Because every intestine reacts differently, it is important to start slowly with sensitive intestines and to build up the dosage step by step. Fermented Probiotics – Kefir can be combined well with prebiotics, enzymes and other intestinal support agents in a tailor-made protocol.

    • Severe immunosuppression (risk of live microorganisms → use only in consultation with specialist).
    • Do not use if there is known hypersensitivity to any of the components.
  • Side effects
    • In the initial phase, it is possible: increased gas, bubbling, changed bowel habits, slight abdominal pain. This is often temporary.
    • In case of persistent aggravation: reduce or stop dosage.
  • Interactions
    • Probiotic ferments mainly have local effects in the gut: they modulate microbiome composition, mucosal immunity and metabolite profile. This can affect the breakdown and conversion of oral medications by gut bacteria, especially in agents that are highly altered by microbiome-mediated metabolism (e.g., some prodrugs, hormones, cardiac glycosides). Clinically, this is usually mild, but for drugs with a narrow therapeutic range, additional monitoring is useful.
    • When used at the same time as antibiotics, kefir can improve antibiotic tolerance and limit microbiome disruption, but it is advisable to take probiotic ferments at least 2 hours away from the antibiotic dose to avoid direct inactivation.
    • In case of strong immunosuppression or in the presence of central lines, there is theoretically a small risk of translocation of yeasts/bacteria; Therefore, only use it in that setting under supervision.
