Description

This product supports protection against fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, stable flies and sandflies during walks in the forest or nature, the flea and tick season, or in the presence of environmental parasites. For dogs and the immediate surroundings. Not for direct use on cats.

How does Intense Flea & Tick Guard work?

Synthetic insecticides work by poisoning the nervous system of insects. Botanicals such as neem oil, quassia extract and certain essential oils work differently: they disrupt orientation behaviour, the sense of smell and the attraction signals that insects use to find a host. Fleas and ticks are less likely to approach an animal that emits these scent profiles.

Neem oil contains azadirachtin, a triterpenoid that disrupts the hormone balance of insects and prevents larvae and nymphs from developing. Quassia extract provides bitter substances (quassinoids) that have insect repellent properties and are well documented in the literature. PMD (para-menthane-3,8-diol) from lemon eucalyptus has been recognized by the WHO as one of the most effective plant-based mosquito repellents.
