How does Myco Immune Complex work?
Medicinal mushrooms contain beta-glucans: complex polysaccharides that activate the immune system via specific receptors on immune cells. They stimulate NK cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells to better respond to infections and abnormal cells, without overloading the immune system.
Each of the four mushrooms has its own bioactive profile. Coriolus (Turkey Tail) is the most researched mushroom in cancer support in dogs, with two randomized trials including one in 101 dogs with hemangiosarcoma. Agaricus contains the highest beta-glucan concentration. Maitake strongly activates T cells and NK cells via the D fraction. Shiitake provides lentinan and has a broad antimicrobial profile.

When do you see results?
Beta-glucans modulate the immune system through two timescales. From a systems biology point of view, NK cells and macrophages respond relatively quickly, while the deeper immune modulation and the build-up of immune memory take more time.
