Description
Our Coenzyme Q10 contains a liposomal Ubiquinone. Ubiquinone still has to be converted in the cell to the active form of Coenzyme Q10: Ubiquinol. This happens due to several factors, including NAD+ and glutathione. We have chosen this form of coenzyme Q10 because ubiquinone is much more stable than ubiquinol. Due to the liposomal processing, the absorbability is even better than ubiquinol. Coenzyme Q10 is a crucial substance for the production of ATP – the main source of energy for every cell. Especially organs with a high energy requirement, such as the heart, brain, liver, muscles and immune cells, depend on sufficient ubiquinol.
With age, the natural production of coenzyme Q10 decreases. Stress, illness, intensive training, inflammation, toxic load and medication use (such as statins, prednisone, NSAIDs or antibiotics) can also lower the Q10 level. This can manifest itself in fatigue, reduced exercise tolerance, brain fog, slow recovery, heart problems or general decrease in vitality. Liposomal ubiquinone increases availability by up to 8× compared to regular ubiquinone, so that even a relatively low daily dose has a clear effect.
In animals, Coenzyme Q10 plays an important role in cardiac health. The heart is highly dependent on mitochondrial energy production, and studies show that Q10 is crucial in dogs with mitral valve disease (MVD), early heart problems, and senior animals with energy loss. Ubiquinone also supports muscle function, liver function, neurological health and general recovery after illness or anaesthesia.
The liposomal phospholipids in this product also contribute to a healthy cell membrane structure, which not only increases absorption, but also supports cell quality itself. This combination makes NGD Care Liposomal Ubiquinone very valuable as daily support, in all situations where energy, vitality and mitochondrial function are central.
