Description

NGD Care – Digestive Enzymes is a carefully formulated combination of digestive enzymes to support digestion in dogs and cats. This formula helps break down proteins, fats, carbohydrates, lactose and fiber, and supports both gastric function (pepsin, betaine) and pancreatic function (amylase, lipase, protease). The supplement is particularly suitable for reduced enzyme production due to stress, low-grade inflammation, chronic gastrointestinal complaints, or conditions such as pancreatic insufficiency.

The enzymes in this formula are widely applicable:

  • Amylase – breaks down starches into simple sugars
  • Lipase – helps in the digestion of fats
  • Protease, Papain and Pepsin – digest proteins
  • Bromelain – protein splitting and anti-inflammatory, also works for allergies
  • Cellulase – breaks down plant fibres
  • Lactase – facilitates lactose digestion
  • Betaine – activates pepsin in the stomach

Due to the composition in a stomach acid-resistant capsule , the enzymes only become active in the intestines, where they can optimally support digestion.
