How does Grounding Support work?

Animals that are “not in their bodies” are chronically in a state of sympathetic activation or polyvagal dysregulation. The ventral vagus system, which regulates connection, safety, and rest, is insufficiently active. Signals from the body are not processed properly, stimuli hit harder and recovery after tension takes longer than normal.

Grounding Support is formulated around the heaviest, most grounding oils in aromatherapy. Vetiver has the strongest documented profile for parasympathetic activation and deep grounding. Sandalwood promotes inner stillness via alpha-santalol that directly affects the limbic system. Patchouli and myrrh have a stabilizing effect and connect the animal to its body. Frankincense integrates and harmonizes the total response.

Cedarwood

Cedrol promotes safety, grounding and sturdiness. Protective and stabilizing.

Patchouli

Strongly grounding. Helps with restlessness, emotional fragmentation and lack of body contact.

Vetiver

Deepest parasympathetic activator of the blend. Supports nervous system regulation and deep grounding.

Cypress

Helps release tension and promotes flow in case of stuck restlessness.

Myrrh

Soothing and restorative. Supports emotional strain and deep restlessness.

Frankincense

Regulating and harmonizing. Supports focus and balance through the limbic system.

- 1-2x daily

  - Apply lightly to ears or soles 1–2 times a day
- Diffuser (pure oil)
  - 2–4 drops at a time
  - Spread for 15–30 minutes
  - Always ensure adequate ventilation

Contraindications

Do not use pure essential oil directly on the animal. Always dilute it with water or oil. Pure oil on the animal can be harmful
The oils, if clearly stated, are not suitable for ingestion. This can be harmful.

Side effects

Dogs and cats have an extremely keen sense of smell. Dose low and make sure your pet can walk away and the room is ventilated.
When overdosed, animals may become anxious, drool, wash themselves excessively, tremble, weaken, and vomit or have diarrhea.
