How does Ozone Jojoba Skin Balm work?
Jojoba oil is unique in the plant kingdom: botanically speaking, it is not an oil but a liquid wax. With heavier ozonation, this wax solidifies and creates a stable semi-solid balm that lays a thin, semi-occlusive layer on the skin. This layer retains moisture, protects the tissue and gives the ozonated compounds time to exert their effect locally.
The ozonated jojoba has been shown to have antibacterial and antifungal effect and penetrates well into the biofilm of skin pathogens. This makes the balm suitable for both dry skin care and supportive treatment for bacterial or yeast infections in local places. The semi-solid texture ensures that the active ingredients remain in contact with the skin longer than liquid oils or aqueous solutions.
Jojoba naturally does not clog pores, is stable and skin-friendly. It does not contain fatty acids that go rancid, which improves its shelf life. The balm is fragrance-free and contains no synthetic additives.
