Description

CBD (cannabidiol) is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid that supports the endocannabinoid system (ECS), the system involved in stress, pain experience, mood, inflammatory balance, and sleep regulation. NGD Care CBD oil contains a full-spectrum extract with natural terpenes and cannabinoids, without intoxication. Furthermore, it has a unique lipfacial treatment which ensures that the absorbability is uniquely high and is stable in the tissue. CBD works via modulation of CB1/CB2 pathways, TRPV1, serotonin (5-HT1A), and GABA balance, among others.

The oil is suitable for stress, tension, sleeping problems, pain complaints, inflammation sensitivity and overstimulation. When used consistently, CBD can help restore balance to the ECS, with effects on rest, muscle tension, mood, and pain perception.

The product is offered in mild, easy-to-dose strengths and is suitable for daily use. It contains <0.05% THC and meets EU standards.

Dosage and use

Dosage
- Under 4 years of age only on explicit medical advice
- These are maintenance doses based on scientific literature.
- 4-12 years 2x daily 1-2 drops
- 12-18 years 2x daily 3-5 drops
- >18 years 2x daily 5-10 drops
- Therapeutically, the dosage can be temporarily increased to 3x daily.
Manual
- Drops under the tongue and swallow after 60 sec
- Store in a dry, sealed and room temperature.
Contraindications
- Anticoagulants (cautious)
- Pregnancy, lactation (due lack of research)
- Liver diseases (CBD increases liver enzymes at high doses)
Side effects
- Mild: dry mouth, drowsiness, slight dizziness.
Interactions
- CBD is a strong inhibitor of CYP3A4 and CYP2C19 → increases levels of benzodiazepines, SSRIs, DOACs, statins, calcium channel blockers, immunosuppressants (tacrolimus, cyclosporine), antiepileptics, among others.
- CBD inhibits UGT1A9 and UGT2B7, which slows down the glucuronidation of various substances.
- CBD has additive sedation with antidepressants, opioids, and sleeping pills.
- Caution in anticoagulation: inhibition of CYPs may affect INR.
