Liposomal Glutathione: The Master Antioxidant for Dogs, Cats, and Humans

Glutathione is a body’s own tripeptide that is present in every cell and plays a central role in detoxification, cell protection and repair. It neutralizes free radicals, protects DNA and mitochondria from oxidative damage, and is indispensable for liver detoxification, especially phase II conjugation, in which toxins, heavy metals, and drug residues are linked to water-soluble compounds for excretion.

Chronically reduced glutathione levels are a common consequence of long-term stress, inflammation, illness, medication use, vaccinations or toxic load. We see this in practice in animals with allergies, skin problems, immune disturbance, cognitive decline and delayed recovery.

Why liposomal? Glutathione ingested orally is partially broken down in the gastrointestinal tract before it reaches the cell. The liposomal formulation with high-quality phosphatidylcholine as a carrier protects the reduced glutathione (GSH) from degradation and significantly improves cellular uptake. This product contains 150 mg of reduced GSH per dose.
