Description

NGD Care – Liposomal Curcumin contains high-quality extract of Curcuma longa in liposomal form. As a result, the bioavailability is up to 60 times higher than regular curcumin supplements. The liposomal administration ensures optimal absorption through the intestine and passage through the blood-brain barrier, so that the active substances effectively reach the organs, joints and even the nervous system.

Curcumin is a powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and natural heavy metal chelator. In addition, it supports the immune system, digestion and liver metabolism. It is rich in curcuminoids, essential oils and trace elements such as calcium, potassium, manganese and iron.

We use curcumin widely for chronic and acute inflammation, immune problems, pain, allergies, gastrointestinal problems, cancer, skin problems and neuroinflammation.

    • Curcuma longa, sunflower lecithin (non-GMO), maltodextrin, veggie capsule shell (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose)

Dosage and use

  • Dosage dog and cat
    • Under 10 kg 1/2 capsule 2xdaily
    • 10-30kg 1 capsule 2xdaily
    • Above 30kg 2 capsules 2 times a day
  • Manual
    • Capsules can be opened and mixed with the food.
    • Capsules can also be administered whole
    • Store in a dry, sealed and room temperature.
  • Contraindications
    • Turmeric has a blood-thinning effect. Use before surgery is not recommended.
    • Turmeric can increase bile production, in case of a gallbladder infection or gallstones its use is not recommended.
    • May promote oxalate formation; Caution for kidney or bladder stones
  • Side effects
    • In high doses: gastrointestinal complaints, diarrhea, constipation
    • In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions such as itching or rash
    • Possible histamine release in sensitive animals – use with caution in case of existing allergies and itching
    • Iron-binding effect in case of overdose, risk of anemia
  • Interactions

    • curcumin is a potent inhibitor of various CYP enzymes (CYP2C9, CYP2C19, CYP3A4) and transporter proteins (including P-glycoprotein). This can slow down the breakdown of medications, leading to increased blood levels of agents such as blood thinners, anti-depressants, and antiepileptics. There is also a potentially increased anticoagulation and mildly increased risk of liver burden.
