Description

This product supports with: stress and tension, overstimulation, restless or nervous behavior, changes in environment or routine and recovery after prolonged stress. Available as a roller for direct use and diffuser oil for the environment.

How does Stress Support work?

Chronic stress differs from acute stress in that the HPA axis (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal) remains active for a long time. Cortisol levels do not fully normalize between moments of stress. This has measurable effects on the immune system, bowel function, sleep patterns and behaviour. Animals cannot indicate this verbally, but show it in persistent vigilance, maintaining tension or difficulty fully relaxing.

Stress Support is built around vetiver as its core, supplemented with oils that each address a different level of the stress system. Lavender modulates the GABA system via linalool. Copaiba (beta-caryophyllene) modulates the neuroinflammatory component of chronic stress via CB2 receptors. Cedarwood and frankincense support parasympathetic activation and integration through the limbic system.

Linalool modulates GABA signaling. Supports relaxation of the nervous system in case of stress and inner turmoil.

Cedarwood

Cedrol promotes a sense of security, tranquility and grounding. Stabilizing in case of prolonged stress.

Vetiver

Deeply grounding and regulating. Supports parasympathetic activation in case of overstimulation and chronic stress load.

Copaiba

Beta-caryophyllene modulates neuroinflammation via CB2 receptors. Soothing for tension and emotional turmoil.

Frankincense

Supports balance, breathing and relaxation through the limbic system. Integrates the total stress response.

Dosage and use

Dosage dog and cat
- Roller: roll 1-2x daily on paw pads or ear.
- Diffuser oil. 2-4 drops of oil in diffuser
Manual
- The spray and roller can be applied to the soles of the feet or ears directly for a stressed situation.
- The external oil can be atomized in a diffuser by adding 2-4 drops.
Contraindications
- Do not use pure essential oil directly on the animal. Always dilute it with water or oil. Pure oil on the animal can be harmful
- The oils are not suitable for ingestion. This can be harmful.
Side effects
- Dogs and cats have an extremely keen sense of smell. Dose low and make sure your pet can walk away and the room is ventilated.
- When overdosed, animals may become anxious, drool, wash themselves excessively, tremble, weaken, and vomit or have diarrhea.
Interactions
- Copaiba works via the endocannabinoid system (CB2); Combine with caution with other sedative supplements or medication
