Dosage and use

  • Preferably take in the morning, possibly extra in the early afternoon.
  • Not in the late evening (can activate energy and alertness).
  • With or without a light meal; In case of sensitivity to polyphenols, preferably with food.

• Contraindications
  • Caution when using anticoagulant medication (resveratrol has mild antiplatelet effect).
    Caution in hormone-sensitive tumors (resveratrol has weak phytoestrogenic activity).
    Do not use during pregnancy/breastfeeding without medical advice.
• Side effects
  • Possibly: mild gastrointestinal complaints, mild headache in the initial phase, “rushed” feeling at too high a dose.
  • Rare: skin reactions in resveratrol hypersensitivity.
• Interactions
  • Resveratrol can inhibit various CYP450 enzymes in vitro, including CYP3A4, CYP2D6, and CYP2C9, which may decrease the clearance of drugs metabolized by these pathways (e.g., some statins, calcium channel blockers, antidepressants, antipsychotics, antiepileptics, and oral anticoagulants). In addition, there is evidence that resveratrol can affect the activity of phase II enzymes and certain transporters such as P-glycoprotein, which may affect agents with a narrow therapeutic breadth.
  • Resveratrol has a mild antiplatelet effect and may increase bleeding risk when combined with anticoagulant or platelet aggregation medications (e.g., ASA, clopidogrel, DOACs, coumarins).
  • NAD precursors may theoretically affect insulin sensitivity and in combination with glucose-lowering medications (such as metformin, sulfonylureas) may have subtle effects on glucose control.
  • Ergothioneine is a substrate of the OCTN1 transporter and selectively accumulates in certain tissues; few direct drug interactions have been described, but in theory, competition on this transporter may affect other OCTN1 substrates.
  • In complex oncological or cardiometabolic processes, it is recommended to coordinate the use of this formula with the treating physician, especially in the case of polypharmacy, anticoagulant medication or intensive chemotherapy.
