Liposomal Glutathione

Liposomal Glutathione from NGD Care contains reduced glutathione (GSH) in a pure liposomal complex for optimal absorption. Glutathione is one of the most important endogenous antioxidants and plays a central role in detoxification, immune balance and cell protection. This formula has been developed for maximum bioavailability and daily use.

Description

Glutathione is the most abundant intracellular antioxidant and essential for the neutralization of free radicals, protection of cells and support of the natural detoxification system (phase II detox). The level of glutathione decreases under the influence of stress, toxins, medication, aging and intensive physical strain.

NGD Care Liposomal Glutathione is formulated in a high-quality liposomal matrix, which keeps it actively protected in the gastrointestinal tract and is absorbed with a much higher efficiency.

Our human liposomal glutathione supports:

  • The natural removal of unwanted substances
  • The protection of cells from oxidative stress
  • Balance of the immune system
  • Recovery after illness, heavy load or toxicity
  • Liver function (stage II conjugation)

This formula is suitable for daily use and fits within integrative treatment plans, including lifestyle and nutritional interventions.

Interactions

  • Glutathione is intimately involved in phase II detoxification via glutathione-S-transferases (GST). It can therefore affect the conjugation and excretion of various xenobiotics and drugs. In drugs that rely heavily on oxidative stress for their action (certain chemotherapeutics), a high glutathione status can theoretically reduce their effectiveness; This is particularly relevant with platinum derivatives and some alkylating agents.
  • Glutathione also plays a role in the detoxification of paracetamol (via GSH conjugation) and can be protective in case of chronic use or overdose, but should never replace regular treatment. Alcohol consumption increases the need for glutathione because ethanol metabolism gives extra oxidative load.
  • Indirect interactions with CYP450 enzymes are possible via influencing the redox status of the liver, but there is no firm evidence that glutathione itself is a strong inhibitor or inducer of specific CYP subtypes. In combination with immunomodulatory therapies (biologicals, immunotherapy), caution is advised because GSH can shift the balance between oxidative stress and immune activation; Therefore, always coordinate with the treating physician in an oncology or autoimmune setting.
