Description

NGD Care – Green Detox is a powerful superfood formula with chlorella, spirulina and alfalfa. Chlorella and spirulina are microalgae with a high content of chlorophyll, protein, minerals and various phytonutrients. Alfalfa is a green plant rich in chlorophyll, carotenoids and trace elements. Together, they form a broad “greens” base that can contribute to micronutrient intake, support liver and detoxification processes, acid-base balance, and overall vitality.

Chlorella is often prized for its potential to bind toxic metals and xenobiotics in the gastrointestinal tract, while spirulina is known for its protein content and antioxidant components such as phycocyanin.

This Greens Blend is not a replacement for vegetables, but can be a valuable addition in periods of extra need, one-sided nutrition, recovery processes or with increased toxic load. The product is suitable as part of a daily vitality protocol, a detox phase or as support for athletes and busy people.
Because the blend may also contain natural vitamin K and other bioactive compounds, it is important to consider potential effects on clotting regulation with certain medications (such as coumarin derivatives). The formula is otherwise mild, but for sensitive intestines the dosage can be built up slowly.

  • Side effects
    • Possible in the beginning: mild nausea, headache, mild skin reactions, change in bowel habits, “detox feelings”.
    • In case of persistent complaints, reduce or stop dosage.
    • Alfalfa has a phytoestrogenic effect. Risk of ovulation disorders and cycle disorders at high doses.
  • Interactions
    • Due to natural vitamin K content, a greens blend can influence the effect of coumarin derivatives (such as warfarin, acenocoumarol) by shifting the coagulation balance towards more clotting. With stable coumarin dosing, consistent use (or non-use) is important and INR should be monitored extra when starting or stopping greens.
    • Chlorella can bind metals and other cations in the intestinal lumen, which could theoretically lower the absorption of certain minerals and possibly cationic drugs when taken at the same time. That is why it is wise to take essential medication (such as thyroid hormone, certain antibiotics) separately for at least 2 hours.
    • Algae products can modulate the immune system via stimulation of macrophages and NK cells; When using immunosuppressants or biological therapy (autoimmune, transplantation), consultation with the practitioner is recommended.
