Liposomal curcumin extract

Inflammation is the underlying cause of many complaints: from joint pain to skin problems, intestinal problems and aging. Curcumin from turmeric helps reduce that inflammation from the inside out. Our liposomal version is up to 60 times better absorbed than regular curcumin supplements.

Description

This supplement helps with: joint pain, skin problems, intestinal inflammation, liver strain and chronic inflammation in dogs, cats and humans. Up to 60 times more absorbable than regular curcumin supplements.

How Does Liposomal Curcumin Work?

Curcumin from turmeric is one of the most powerful natural anti-inflammatories available. It inhibits a central switch in the body called NF-kB, which controls the production of pro-inflammatory substances. By inhibiting NF-kB, curcumin simultaneously reduces the production of dozens of inflammatory substances, which explains its broad effect on so many different complaints.

The big problem with regular curcumin supplements is that less than 1% reaches the bloodstream. It is broken down in the stomach before it can work. The liposomal form of NGD Care solves this: phospholipids protect the curcuminoids and allow for absorption via a different route, which increases bioavailability by up to 60 times.

Liposomal curcumin also crosses the blood-brain barrier, which allows action in the nervous system. This is relevant for neuroinflammation and cognitive decline in senior animals.

What does this supplement do?

  • Helps with joint pain, skin problems and intestinal complaints
  • Inhibits chronic inflammation from the inside out via NF-kB
  • Supports the liver and the removal of waste products
  • Up to 60 times more absorbable than regular curcumin supplements
  • Passes the blood-brain barrier for nervous system support

When do you see results?

Curcumin acts on NF-kB, the central switch of chronic inflammation. From a systems biology point of view, this is an upstream intervention: it inhibits the source of inflammation, not the symptom. This gives a more durable but gradual effect than direct painkillers.

Week 1-2

Curcumin is absorbed and begins to inhibit NF-kB. First reduction of acute inflammatory peaks is noticeable in some animals.

Week 2-4

Less stiffness, calmer behavior in pain. Less redness and itching in case of skin complaints. Calmer intestine in case of intestinal inflammation.

Month 1-3

Significantly better mobility and comfort. Significantly improved skin and intestinal condition. More energy and vitality.

Month 3+

Daily use maintains the inflammatory balance in the long term. For chronic inflammatory conditions, a maintenance supplement.

Works well with

Curcumin inhibits NF-kB and broad inflammatory pathways. The supplements below enhance this through additional mechanisms.

PEA Complex

Curcumin inhibits NF-kB, PEA inhibits via PPAR-alpha. Complementary inflammatory pathways that do not overlap but amplify. In chronic joint or intestinal inflammation, the most mechanistically substantiated combination.

O-Mega Blend

Curcumin inhibits NF-kB, omega-3 inhibits COX. Two of the most studied anti-inflammatory mechanisms together in one approach. Broad-spectrum anti-inflammatory membrane in the skin, joints and intestines.

Glutathione

Curcumin activates Nrf2 which stimulates endogenous glutathione production. Exogenous glutathione supplements this immediately. Together for maximum cellular antioxidant and detoxification capacity.

Prebiotic Fibers

Curcumin directly modulates the gut microbiome through selective inhibition of pathogenic species and stimulation of Lactobacillus. Together with Prebiotic Fibers for a faster shift to a healthier microbiome composition.

    • 10-30kg 1 capsule 2xdaily
    • Above 30kg 2 capsules 2 times a day
  • Manual
    • Capsules can be opened and mixed with the food.
    • Capsules can also be administered whole
    • Store in a dry, sealed and room temperature.
  • Contraindications
    • Turmeric has a blood-thinning effect. Use before surgery is not recommended.
    • Turmeric can increase bile production, in case of a gallbladder infection or gallstones its use is not recommended.
    • May promote oxalate formation; Caution for kidney or bladder stones
  • Side effects
    • In high doses: gastrointestinal complaints, diarrhea, constipation
    • In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions such as itching or rash
    • Possible histamine release in sensitive animals – use with caution in case of existing allergies and itching
    • Iron-binding effect in case of overdose, risk of anemia
  • Interactions
    • curcumin is a potent inhibitor of various CYP enzymes (CYP2C9, CYP2C19, CYP3A4) and transporter proteins (including P-glycoprotein). This can slow down the breakdown of medications, leading to increased blood levels of agents such as blood thinners, anti-depressants, and antiepileptics. There is also a potentially increased anticoagulation and mildly increased risk of liver burden.
