Description
This protocol helps with: varying or chronic intestinal complaints, Giardia that keeps coming back, skin problems from the intestine, a weak resistance and fatigue without a clear cause. If your animal has not been well for a long time and individual supplements have not solved anything, this protocol is the systemic approach that is missing.
Why a protocol and not a separate supplement?
Chronic intestinal complaints in dogs and cats are rarely caused by one thing. They are the result of a disrupted system: an intestine where harmful bacteria have nested in protective biofilms, an intestinal wall that has been compromised and has become permeable, a microbiome that has become unbalanced and an immune system that is constantly overloaded by stimuli that leak in through that leaky intestinal wall.
A single supplement can address one link in this system, but it does not solve the whole. A biofilm breakthrough alone does not work if the intestinal wall does not recover afterwards. Intestinal wall repair alone does not work if the pathogens are still present. That’s why a protocol is needed: an ordered series of steps that follow and reinforce each other.
From a systems biology point of view, the intestine is not an organ but an ecosystem. Restoration requires an ecosystem strategy, not a single intervention.
How does the Bowel Protocol work?
The protocol works in three successive phases. Each phase builds on the previous one. The order is not arbitrary but mechanistic: the intestine must first be remediated before recovery is possible, and recovery must be stable before reconstruction can take place effectively.
No supplement can compensate for what wrong food does on a daily basis. Ultra-processed foods, chunks with simple grain proteins, and one-sided diets maintain the biofilm, impoverish the microbiome, and cause continuous low-grade inflammation. Without food change, the biofilm will return within a few weeks after the protocol has ended, including all complaints. The supplement phases are only sustainably effective on foods that support rather than undermine the microbiome.
Variation in fresh meat as a basis: beef, chicken, lamb, game, fish, etc. Preferably raw (BARF / KVV). Changing protein sources every day for maximum microbiome diversity.
20% ground vegetables added to the meal: zucchini, spinach, broccoli, carrot, pumpkin etc. Ground or lightly steamed for optimal digestibility in dogs and cats. The fiber is the prebiotic food for the microbiome that the protocol aims to build.

In the first phase, the intestine is thoroughly remediated. Harmful bacteria, parasites and yeasts hide behind biofilms. As long as that protective layer is in place, no supplements or treatments reach the pathogens effectively. Biofilm Balance breaks through that layer. Green detox, and the lactoferrin in the Biofilm balance, tackles the released pathogens. Liposomal Curcumin and Vitamin C inhibit the inflammatory response that is released during biofilm degradation. In the meantime, Prebiotic Fibers feeds the good bacteria so that they can occupy the space that is released.
Only when the intestine has been remediated can the real recovery begin. L-Glutamine is the primary fuel for the enterocytes that have to repair the intestinal wall. Gut Barrier Support (standard for animals) or Shilajit (standard for humans) strengthens the barrier via fulvic acid and stimulates Akkermansia muciniphila for the mucus layer. Liposomal Vitamin B Complex restores nerve function in the intestinal wall that has been affected by chronic damage. Fermented probiotics nourish the restorative microbiome.
For animals and humans whose chronic intestinal complaints have led to cellular exhaustion, mitochondrial dysfunction or a weakened immune system at the system level. Longevity Support supports cellular energy recovery through NAD+. Liposomal Coenzyme Q10 restores mitochondrial energy production. Liposomal Glutathione supports the liver in further detoxification. Myco Immune Complex modulates the immune system that has been chronically overloaded due to the long-term intestinal inflammation.
When do you see results?
A chronically disturbed intestine does not recover in a week. The timeline below is based on the system biological logic of the protocol: first remediation, then recovery. At the start of phase 1, sometimes expect a temporary increase in symptoms because toxins are released during biofilm breakdown. That’s a sign that it’s working.
Biofilm breakdown started. Temporarily a little more flatulence or soft stools possible. Normal and disappears.
Calmer bowel, firmer stools. Fewer abdominal complaints. More energy. The intestinal environment is remediated.
Phase 2 started. Intestinal wall visibly recovers: better absorption, better coat, less infection sensitivity.
Full recovery visible in stool, condition, resistance and behavior. Phase 3 optional for deeper cellular repair.
