NGD Care – Anxiety Support is a natural aromatherapy blend specially developed for dogs and cats with anxiety problems. Think of separation anxiety, fireworks stress, thunderstorms, vet visits or other exciting situations. Anxiety Support is designed to support the nervous system in a gentle, natural way, without numbing or suppression.

This formula is suitable for animals and for use in the living environment, so that the household can also benefit from a soothing atmosphere.

Composition & effect

  • Roman Chamomile – soothing and calming for tension and nervousness
  • Cedarwood – supports inner peace, stability and a sense of security
  • Copaiba – grounding and relaxing, helps with emotional dysregulation
  • Bergamot – uplifting and balancing in stress and overstimulation
  • Frankincense – deepening and regulating, supports the nervous system

The combination has a harmonizing effect on both the emotional and physical stress system. The oils reinforce each other and together form a balanced, soothing blend.

Ingredients

  • Ingredients
    • Roller: fractionated coconut oil with essential oils of Roman chamomile, cedarwood, Copaiba, Bergamot, Frankincense
    • pure oil: essential oils of Roman chamomile, cedarwood, Copaiba, Bergamot, Frankincense

Dosage and use

  • Dosage dog and cat
    • Use 1-2x daily when anxiety is greatest.
  • Manual
    • Roller
      • Apply 1–2 times a day
      • Light application behind ears or soles of the feet is sufficient
    • Diffuser (pure oil)
      • 2–4 drops at a time
      • Spread 15–30 minutes
      • Always ensure adequate ventilation
  • Contraindications
    • Do not use pure essential oil directly on the animal. Always dilute it with water or oil. Pure oil on the animal can be harmful
    • The oils, if clearly stated, are not suitable for ingestion. This can be harmful.
  • Side effects
    • Dogs and cats have an extremely keen sense of smell. Dose low and make sure your pet can walk away and the room is ventilated.
    • When overdosed, animals may become anxious, drool, wash themselves excessively, tremble, weaken, and vomit or have diarrhea.
  • Interactions
    • Bergamot contains furanocoumarins and bergapten, and can cause phototoxic reactions via skin ingestion (often in humans, but caution in animals).
    • Valerian can enhance the sedative effect of anesthetics, antiepileptics and antifungal drugs.

  • In animal studies (rats, mice), inhalation of bergamot oil is associated with anxiolytic effects, including through enhancement of GABAergic circuits in the brain
    • Bergamot essential oil attenuate aluminum-induced anxiety-like behavior through antioxidation, anti-inflammatory and GABA regulation in rats
