Digestive enzymes

Poor digestion, a bloated belly, soft stools or a dog that does not maintain its weight properly? Sometimes the body does not produce enough digestive enzymes due to illness, stress or old age. This supplement helps break down food better and absorb nutrients better.

Support for pancreatic insufficiency, stress-related digestion problems or low stomach acid production
Promotes nutrient absorption
Helps with flatulence, undigested stools or bloating
Ideal for transitioning to new foods or for chronic digestive problems

Description

This supplement helps with: bloated belly, soft stools, poor digestion, weight loss despite eating well and pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) in dogs and cats.

How does Digestive Enzymes work?

Digestive enzymes are necessary to break down food properly and absorb nutrients. In pancreatic insufficiency (EPI), chronic stress, old age or long-term intestinal complaints, the body produces too few digestive enzymes. The result: food is not digested sufficiently, nutrients are not absorbed and the intestine becomes further upset.

Digestive Enzymes contains eight complementary enzymes that cover all macronutrients: amylase for carbohydrates, lipase for fats, protease and papain for proteins, cellulase for vegetable fibers and lactase for lactose. Betaine and pepsin support the gastric phase. In addition to proteolytic, bromelain also has anti-inflammatory effects.

The stomach acid resistant capsule is essential: enzymes are proteins and are broken down by stomach acid. The capsule protects them and ensures delivery to the right place in the intestine.

What does this supplement do?

  • Helps with bloated belly, soft stools and poor digestion
  • Supports the digestion of proteins, fats and carbohydrates
  • Relevant for EPI, chronic stress or old age
  • Stomach acid-resistant capsule ensures action in the right place
  • Suitable for dog, cat and human

When do you see results?

Digestive enzymes work immediately: they are active as soon as they reach the intestine. From a systems biology point of view, this is one of the fastest acting supplements because it fulfills a direct function that the body already needs in that meal.

Day 1-3

Enzymes work immediately at the first meal. Less bloating after eating, calmer intestine noticeable soon.

Week 1-2

Firmer stools, less flatulence. Better food intake visible in more energy and better condition.

Week 2-4

Significantly better digestion. In EPI: weight recovery visible. Better coat due to better nutrient absorption.

Month 1+

With EPI: lifelong daily use necessary. In case of stress or age: daily support for optimal nutrient absorption.

Works well with

Digestive Blend improves digestion. The supplements below restore the intestinal environment and further improve absorption.

Prebiotic Fibers

Digestive enzymes break down food better. Prebiotic Fibers ensures that the right gut bacteria ferment the undigested fibers. Together optimal digestion and microbiome support.

L-Glutamine

In EPI, the intestinal wall is often damaged by chronic nutrient deficiency. L-Glutamine restores the intestinal cells that have to absorb the nutrients that are now better digested. Together better digestion and better absorption.

Active Vit B-Complex

In EPI and intestinal complaints, B12 absorption is structurally reduced. Digestive Blend improves digestion, liposomal B-complex ensures direct absorption of B12 independent of digestion status.

Curcumin

Bromelain in Digestive Blend has anti-inflammatory effects. Curcumin enhances this via NF-kB inhibition. Together for both digestive support and inflammation inhibition in intestinal inflammation.
