Liposomal histamine balance

5.00 out of 5
(0 customer reviews)

Histamine balance is the new name of MSM & Quercetin.

Does your dog suffer from joint pain and skin itching or seasonal allergies? This is no coincidence: chronic inflammation is the common cause. MSM provides bioavailable sulfur as a building block for cartilage and skin. Quercetin stabilizes mast cells as the natural antihistamine and helps clean up senescent cells. Together they tackle joints and allergies from two sides at the same time.

Reduces histamine release in allergy and hay fever
Stabilizes mast cells and reduces inflammatory reactions
Supports itching, eczema, atopy and skin inflammation
Relieves respiratory symptoms such as asthma or chronic bronchitis
Provides broad anti-inflammatory treatment for joint complaints and age-related problems
Supports the heart and blood vessels and slows down cellular aging

Description

QUICK SUMMARY

This supplement helps with: joint pain, stiffness, seasonal allergies, skin itching and healthy aging in dogs and cats. MSM provides bioavailable sulfur for cartilage and connective tissue. Quercetin stabilizes mast cells as the natural antihistamine and clears out senescent cells.

How Does Histamine Balance Work?

Two complaints that often occur together in dogs and cats are joint pain and skin problems or allergies. This is no coincidence: chronic inflammation is the common denominator in both. Histamine balance tackles this from two sides at the same time.
MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) provides bioavailable sulfur, an essential building block for collagen, cartilage, tendons and skin. Sulphur is essential for the disulfide bridges that give cartilage its strength, and for the synthesis of glutathione, the body’s most powerful antioxidant. At the same time, MSM inhibits NF-kB, the central switch of chronic inflammation, so that it also acts directly as an inflammation modulator.
Quercetin is a bioflavonoid that stabilizes mast cells by blocking calcium influx, the critical step for histamine release in allergic reactions. This makes quercetin mechanistically different from antihistamines: they block histamine after it has already been released, quercetin prevents its release. In addition, quercetin has senolytic effects: it helps clear up senescent cells that drive chronic inflammation.

What does this supplement do?

  • Helps with joint pain, stiffness and cartilage wear via sulfur liver
  • Supports seasonal allergies, skin itching and histamine-related complaints
  • Inhibits chronic inflammation via NF-kB modulation on two complementary pathways
  • Helps clean up senescent cells via senolysis for healthy aging
  • Supports glutathione synthesis for liver and cell protection

When do you see results?

MSM and quercetin work through two different time scales. From a systems biology point of view, mast cell stabilization by quercetin reacts relatively quickly, while the structural sulfur delivery by MSM for cartilage building takes more time. Two processes, one supplement.

Week 1-2

Quercetin begins to stabilize mast cells. Less histamine release noticeable in less itching and redness. MSM starts sulphur supply.

Week 2-4

Significantly less itching and allergic reactions. First improvement in joint flexibility. Better coat and skin quality visible.

Month 1-2

Significantly fewer allergy symptoms. Better mobility and less stiffness. Senolytic effect of quercetin noticeable in increased vitality.

Month 2+

Daily use structurally maintains cartilage quality, mast cell balance, and cellular health. For allergies and joint complaints long-term supplement.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the difference between quercetin and an antihistamine?

Antihistamines block histamine after it has already been released from mast cells. Quercetin works earlier in the process: it blocks the calcium influx needed for histamine release, reducing the release of histamine to begin with.

Is MSM/Quercetin Complex safe to combine with other joint supplements?

Yes. MSM and quercetin work through different mechanisms than, for example, glucosamine or cartilage matrix components, so combining with Mobility Support tackles the building material and inflammatory pathways at the same time.

What exactly does senolytic action mean?

Senescent cells are aged cells that no longer divide but continue to secrete inflammatory substances. Senolytic substances like quercetin help clear out these cells, which can slow down chronic inflammation and accelerated aging.

Can I give this supplement for kidney problems?

Caution is advised in case of kidney problems or use of immunosuppressive therapy. In that case, always contact an (integrative) veterinarian before you start.

Why is quercetin often combined with bromelain, and why doesn’t NGD Care choose it?

Bromelain, an enzyme from pineapple, is often added because it can improve the absorption of quercetin. Instead, we opt for liposomal quercetin: this form already ensures a significantly higher absorption, without the need for an additional enzyme. In addition, we combine quercetin with MSM, as these two compounds reinforce each other in histamine regulation and anti-inflammatory — a synergy that bromelain does not provide.

Works well with

MSM/Quercetin Complex targets joints and allergies. The supplements below enhance this through additional mechanisms.

Mobility Support

MSM provides sulfur as a cofactor for collagen and cartilage matrix. Mobility Support supplies the complete cartilage matrix including growth factors IGF-1 and TGF-beta. Together, the most complete building material support for joints available.

PEA Complex

Quercetin inhibits mast cell activation and NF-kB. PEA inhibits pain and inflammation signaling via PPAR-alpha. Boswellia inhibits 5-LOX. Together the broadest natural anti-inflammatory combination for joints and skin.

O-Mega Blend

Omega-3 inhibits the COX pathway and supports the skin barrier via EPA/DHA integration into cell membranes. Quercetin inhibits histamine via mast cell stabilization. Together broad-spectrum approach to allergic skin complaints from two mechanisms.

Longevity Support

Quercetin is senolytic and removes senescent cells. Longevity Support activates through NAD+ sirgardens for cellular repair and energy metabolism. Together a complete anti-aging strategy: removing senescent cells and allowing healthy cells to function optimally.
