NGD Care Behavioural Protocol: natural support for stress, anxiety and behavioural problems in dogs and cats
Stress and anxiety in dogs and cats are not just behavioral problems, they are a physiological state. Chronic activation of the sympathetic nervous system is continuously “switched on” by the body, resulting in a poorer gastrointestinal system, weakened immunity and increased inflammatory activity. The NGD Care Behavioural Protocol tackles this on several levels at the same time: the nervous system, the hormone profile, the microbiome and the energetic balance.
The protocol combines four synergistically acting supplements. Myco Adaptogen Complex (mushroom mix 2) contains four medicinal mushrooms with adaptogenic effects. They lower the stress response, strengthen the immune system and act as prebiotics to support the gut microbiome. In the context of chronic stress, bowel function is almost always a relevant point of attention: reduced acid production, delayed bowel motility and dysbiosis are direct consequences of persistent sympathetic dominance.
Liposomal Adaptogen Complex contains ashwagandha and rhodiola in liposomal form. Both are classic adaptogens that modulate the HPA axis, reduce cortisol and adrenaline, and increase serotonin availability. They restore the balance between stress response and recovery capacity after a stressful situation.
CBD oil supports the regulation of sleep, appetite, pain perception and immune function through the endocannabinoid system. In stress, the endocannabinoid system is a direct modulatory link in both the neuroendocrine stress response and parasympathetic activity.
Relax Support provides magnesium, L-theanine, L-tryptophan and vitamin B6 as P-5-P in liposomal form. Together, they support neurotransmitter production (serotonin, GABA, dopamine), sleep-wake balance and nerve function. L-theanine directly modulates alpha-brainwave activity for a calming effect without sedation.
In the event of acute stress such as a move, a holiday or a new family situation, the protocol can be used immediately without supervision. In the case of chronic behavioural problems, we recommend combining it with the NGD Care Bowel Protocol, because chronic sympathetic activation structurally suppresses bowel function and restoration of the microbiome is necessary for sustainable behavioural recovery.
The protocol can be further deepened with flower essences or essential oils from the NGD Care range for emotional and energetic balance.
