Description
This protocol helps with: Giardia that keeps coming back despite treatment with metronidazole or fenbendazole, persistent diarrhea after parasitic infection, a intestine that does not recover after Giardia and animals that test positive again within weeks after each treatment.
Why a protocol and not a separate treatment?
Giardia is tough. The parasite has two survival strategies that often do not completely break standard treatments. First, Giardia nestles deep in the villi structure of the small intestine, protected by a biofilm of mucus and bacteria that the parasite itself produces. Antiparasitic agents do not reach this reservoir sufficiently.
Secondly, Giardia structurally damages the intestinal wall: the villitops are broken down, tight junctions weaken and intestinal permeability increases. Even if the parasite is eliminated, a damaged intestine remains that is prone to reinfection and chronic complaints. This explains why dogs continue to test positive after treatment or re-infect quickly.
An effective approach requires two steps that follow each other: first thoroughly eliminating the parasite including the biofilm, then structurally restoring the intestinal wall. Both steps are equally important. The Giardia Protocol addresses them in order.
How does the Giardia Protocol work?
The protocol works in two phases. Phase 1 focuses on elimination of the parasite and breaking through the protective biofilm. Phase 2 focuses on repairing the damaged intestinal wall. The sequence is mechanistically essential: intestinal wall repair in a still actively infected intestine has limited effect.
Para Reset breaks through the biofilm via NAC and tackles the released Giardia via berberine. The essential oil Parasite guard helps the berberine in the elimination of Giardia. Liposomal Curcumin inhibits the intestinal inflammation that causes Giardia. Liposomal Vitamin C supports the immune system and helps manage the oxidative stress that occurs with parasitic infection. Prebiotic Fibers feeds the good bacteria while tackling the parasite.
After elimination of the parasite, structural intestinal repair starts. L-Glutamine is the primary fuel for the enterocytes that have to rebuild the damaged villi structure. Gut Barrier Support repairs tight junctions via fulvic acid and strengthens the mucus layer via Akkermansia stimulation. Liposomal Lactoferrin supports mucosal immunity and protects against reinfection. Liposomal Vitamin B-Complex restores nerve function in the intestinal wall.
When do you see results?
Giardia treatment requires patience. The parasite has a short generation time and can quickly revive if stopped too early. From a systems biology point of view, full recovery is only achieved when the intestinal wall is also stabilized, not when only the parasite is no longer detectable.
Biofilm is broken. Temporarily a little more complaints possible. Para Reset and Biofilm Balance are active.
Less diarrhea, firmer stools. The parasite is affected. Energy and appetite visibly improve.
Phase 2 started. Intestinal wall recovers. Better absorption of nutrients visible in condition and coat.
Full recovery. Control test negative. Intestine stable. Further reinfection is now much less likely.

Is this protocol suitable for my animal?
Always combine this protocol with thorough hygiene measures: wash the hindquarters daily, disinfect the environment with appropriate means and possibly treat all animals in the household at the same time.
