Integrative support for chronic persistent intracellular infections and post-infectious complaints

The NGD Care Intracellular Microbe Protocol is an integrative recovery protocol for dogs and cats with chronic intracellular microbial infections. The protocol supports the immune system, reduces low-grade inflammation, and helps the body recover at the cellular and mitochondrial level.

Suitable for intracellular bacteria and protozoa
Integrative approach, complementary to regular care
In animals that do not recover sufficiently from previous treatments
Restoring energy, vitality and resilience
3 phases of 4, 8 and 8 weeks respectively

Description

The Intracellular Microbe Protocol has been developed for dogs and cats that do not recover sufficiently after infections or continue to suffer from chronic, varying or unexplained complaints. Some microorganisms can hide inside body cells, making them difficult for the immune system to reach. This can lead to long-term or recurring symptoms, even after an infection has apparently been treated. The protocol focuses not only on the microbe, but especially on the body that has been under pressure for a long time.

Intracellular microbes are microorganisms that lodge (temporarily or long-term) in the cells of the body. Examples include Borrelia, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma, Bartonella, Leishmania, Babesia, Toxoplasma and post-infectious residual load after viral infections.

This burden can lead to chronic immune activation, low-grade inflammation and disruption of energy management.

Why a phased approach?

With prolonged intracellular loading, the body is often continuously “on”. Without first creating peace and stability, further support can lead to dysregulation or relapse.

That is why the NGD Care Intracellular Microbe Protocol works with a carefully constructed, phased approach that supports the body step by step in recovery. In total, this protocol lasts 20 weeks.

Structure of the Intracellular Microbe Protocol

Phase 1 – Immune & Inflammation Stabilization (4 weeks)

  • In this phase, the body is calmed down and prepared for next steps.
  • Support with:
    • Lactoferrin – Supports immune balance and macrophage function and helps regulate excessive inflammatory responses.
    • Myco Immune Complex (Mushroom Mix 1 ) – Acts immunomodulatory and helps balance the immune system without overstimulating.
    • PEA complex (PEA & Boswellia) – Supports the nervous system and has an anti-inflammatory effect on chronic immune and stress load.

Phase 2 – Controlled microbial load support (8 weeks)

  • When the body is stable, it is supported in a controlled manner in reducing intracellular stress.
  • Support with:
    • Para Reset (NAC & Berberine) – Supports the production of glutathione and helps to disrupt protective structures around microbes.
    • Essential oils Microbe Guard
      • Support the body’s microbial balance through two different mechanisms of action:
        • Oral: systemic support for microbial imbalance.
        • Diffuser: for skin and respiratory support, without straining the liver and digestive system.
    • Lactoferrin – Continues to support immune regulation and helps control inflammatory responses.
    • Myco Immune Support – Continues to contribute to a balanced immune response during this phase.
    • PEA complex – Continues to support inflammation inhibition and stress regulation to prevent relapse.
    • Optional: Ozone therapy or (in consultation with the veterinarian) conventional medication, always embedded in the protocol.

Phase 3 – Recovery & resilience (8 weeks)

  • The final phase focuses on restoring energy, resilience and vitality.
  • Support with:
    • Longevity support (NAD⁺ / Resveratrol / Ergothioneine) – Supports mitochondrial function and cellular energy production under prolonged load.
    • Glutathione – Important body’s own antioxidant that helps reduce oxidative stress and clean up residues.
    • Coenzyme Q10 – Supports energy production in muscles and organs and contributes to the recovery of vitality and resilience.
